Mobile drum chipper headed to dump container

Harvesting residues (slash) are forwarded to a central location on the harvesting site.  The in-woods chipper processes the slash into chips and then dumps them into containers.  The containers will be loaded on a truck and used for bio-energy.  In-woods chipping is much more common in Sweden than bundling.  Photo by Tommy Tye
